 The history of a city matters. It matters a lot. But the spiritual history of a city may just be the most important thing about it. Knowing your city's spiritual history can explain a lot about what's going on there now. 

Here in Springfield, there's a lot of dark history, which may explain why this city has had such a hard time accepting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This month, inspired by a story from 1980's southern California, we examine one of the darkest stories in the history of Springfield.
